Braeutigam Orchards

Farm Visits

Agriculture Education is very important to our family.
We have two types of bookable farm visits available to share our love of farming and learning.
Read about them below and book your farm visit today!

Pick-and-Play Adventure

Intended for elementary classes, youth groups, and other organizations interested in a visit full of outdoor activities and exploration for the young—and young at heart!

Start your visit with a tractor-led wagon ride through our farm and enjoy picking your own fresh, locally grown fruits. After returning from the field, participants will get to sample our fresh apple cider. From there, groups are welcome to visit our farm animals and explore Grandpa Lester’s Farm Village.

Teachers can bring the fun back to the classroom with 1 complimentary U-Pick item per every 20 students to use as educational material. This has been a longstanding Braeutigam Orchards tradition!

NEW! Ag Fanatics Farm Tour

This in-depth farm tour is intended for agriculture and horticulture based classes and organizations and enthusiasts of gardening, nature, outdoors, and all things Braeutigam Orchards. Get a behind the scenes look at the many lifelines of our operation: our bakery, marketplace, and production/growing areas.

Each participant will get to see how our apple cider donuts are made and try one fresh off the fryer—the best way to eat them. Afterwards, the group will proceed to our marketplace and learn the process of handling fresh picked produce before it goes out for sale while sampling an apple cider slushie. From there, the group will get a look inside our high tunnel and talk about its function, view and discuss the production of a variety of small fruits, then hop on a tractor-led wagon to tour our orchards and fields. Upon the conclusion of the tour, the group will sit down for an open conversation/Q&A about a variety of topics such as the importance of ag-tourism, the farm’s history and evolution, small-scale fruit and vegetable production, and other relevant topics.

PLEASE NOTE: The Ag Fanatics Farm Tour has limited availability and is coordinated with the schedules of Mr. Range and/or Kurt, one or both of which will be facilitating the tour. We will confirm whether the time you select is available and rebook if needed.
